U.S. Boat Show Debuts: All Eyes on Horizon Yachts

2018-04-11

Horizon Yachts recently wrapped a busy and successful U.S. boat show season, where the company debuted two new luxury yachts: the PC74 power catamaran at the 2018 Miami Yacht Show and the FD87 Skyline at the 2018 Palm Beach Int’l Boat Show. Both yachts – equally intriguing thanks to their design, features, and superior quality – turned heads left and right during their respective debuts and were met with an overwhelmingly positive response, a testament to Horizon’s focus on creating innovative new models.

The Miami Yacht Show, held from February 15-19th, was an ideal venue for the debut of the Horizon PC74, as her sleek lines and amazing 28’ beam were highlighted against the backdrop of South Beach. Hailed as a great platform for blue water cruising, the PC74 is now the flagship of Horizon’s PC series, which also comprises the PC60 and PC52 models, and was designed by esteemed designer J.C. Espinosa. During the Miami Yacht Show, she drew attention for her spaciousness, thoughtfully-designed layout, and the high quality that is come to be expected from Horizon’s power catamarans. Many visitors commented that the PC74 was an ideal choice due to her flexibility for private use or charter, proving she can accommodate a number of boating lifestyles with ease and comfort.

An eye-catching blue hull color on the new Horizon FD87 Skyline, and a prime location right along the seawall, ensured no one who attended the Palm Beach Boat show would miss this extraordinary debuting yacht. Horizon’s mission was to make sure Skyline was the talk of the show, which ran March 22nd-25th, and to say the company succeeded in their endeavor is an understatement; show visitors talked nonstop about the “big blue boat”, first noticing her striking design lines from renowned designer Cor D. Rover and then being “wowed” by her unparalleled interior volume.

With a 23’3’ beam, the FD87 Skyline offers five guest staterooms – including an on-deck Master – plus private crew quarters aft, and a slew of entertaining and lounging spaces both indoors and out. Her enclosed skylounge, beach club, and forward bow area – all features that her owner worked with Horizon to customize – drew praise for thoughtful use of space; guests said they could tell that the owners outfitted their yacht with family fun, and extended island voyages, in mind. Horizon celebrated the debut of the Horizon FD87 Skyline with a VIP event, hosting her owners alongside other Horizon yacht owners and guests on the display with live music, hors d’oeuvres, and specialty cocktails from Titos Vodka.

As a premier luxury yacht builder – one who provides flexibility in build and is focused on listening to clients – Horizon is poised to meet the demand that the new PC74 and FD87 Skyline models have created. We look forward to taking the incredible show activity and adding clients to our ever-growing Horizon family!
