Horizon Sells First Tri-Deck FD100 Motor Yacht

The five-stateroom yacht is now in build for a repeat Horizon owner
Construction of the first Horizon Tri-Deck FD100 yacht is now well underway. Sold to a repeat Horizon client who was drawn to the new, larger tri-deck FD concept introduced at the 2021 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the first of this model boasts a five-stateroom layout with an enclosed skylounge, open flybridge, beach club and ample accommodations for up to ten guests.
The high-volume layout of the Cor D. Rover-designed Fast Displacement (FD) Series and the increased interior and exterior space was a plus for the client, who purchased the boat while it was in build but was able to add customizations of his own, including a full-height wine cooler in the galley and a cigar humidor in the main salon.
On the main deck, this new FD100 will feature a spacious aft deck equipped with a convertible dining table and a bar area. Full-height windows invite natural light into the main salon, which offers plentiful seating, the aforementioned humidor and a dayhead, while the dining and galley are featured forward. The on-deck master stateroom spans the yacht’s beam and includes a spacious his-and-hers en suite.
The lower deck offers four additional staterooms comprised of mirrored queen en suites amidships, a convertible twin to port and a VIP in the bow. Crew quarters for up to six are situated aft of the engine room, along with a laundry area and a fully equipped beach club.
To bring his interior vision to life, the owner hired Miami-based Design Studio JAC, who will execute the timeless interior concept that is minimal yet elegant and emphasizes calmness and serenity. Intentionally simplistic in its design so as to not distract from the exterior surroundings, the interior will feature high-quality natural materials such as linens, natural stone and teak, while European oak wall paneling and flooring throughout enhance the neutral backdrop.
Another factor that drew the owner to the tri-deck design is the amount of outdoor lounging/entertaining space offered by the FD100 design. With its spacious boat deck equipped with a Jacuzzi tub and bar to the foredeck fitted with an icemaker, refrigerator and loungers, to the flybridge with a large sunpad and L-shaped seating and coffee table, this build will not disappoint.
